Former NBA player Tristan Thompson has filed a lawsuit against the UK-based World Mobile Group. He accused the company of terminating the WMTX token brand ambassador contract worth up to 2 million US dollars ahead of schedule, and continuing to use his name, portrait and image without authorization after the termination. Thompson stated that under the agreement, he was entitled to receive up to 1 million US dollars worth of WMTX tokens each year for two years and promote the token. World Mobile terminated the contract on the grounds that he failed to return excess tokens and sold WMTX tokens privately. The relevant allegations are still pending court judgment.
