When responding to inquiries, White House Spokesperson Levitt said, 'President Trump exercised the power conferred by the Constitution to pardon Mr. Zhao.' Levitt further emphasized that Changpeng Zhao was prosecuted during former President Biden’s 'war on cryptocurrency.'
