According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, President Trump signed a pardon order this Wednesday, pardoning Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance. The report notes that this pardon may prematurely terminate the three-year regulatory program imposed on Binance by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which was designed to ensure Binance complies with U.S. laws related to financial crimes. However, a separate independent regulatory measure established by the U.S. Department of the Treasury will not be automatically revoked unless approved by the President or the Secretary of the Treasury.
