According to a report by Politico, in February this year, Binance and Changpeng Zhao (CZ) separately hired Teresa Goody Guillén, a cryptocurrency lawyer who was once considered by Trump for the position of SEC Chairman. Her law firm has received a total of $290,000 in fees from the two parties this year. Additionally, Changpeng Zhao has recently commissioned Ches McDowell, a lobbyist and ally of Trump, to lobby the White House and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, paying $450,000 just for the single month of September.
