On January 5 local time, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who was forcibly detained by the United States, pleaded not guilty to the so-called 'allegations' made by the U.S. side during his court appearance in New York, USA.
Maduro told the judge, 'I am the President of Venezuela, and I was forcibly detained and taken away from my home in Caracas, Venezuela.' He has been charged by the United States with crimes including 'narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine smuggling conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the United States'.
