On the evening of the 7th local time, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an emergency statement saying it had detected missiles launched from Iran toward Israel. The IDF later said two ballistic missiles fired by Iran at northern Israel were successfully intercepted by air defenses. There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage. This marks Iran’s first attack on Israel since a ceasefire took effect on April 8.
