Armstrong pointed out that AI is significantly boosting productivity. The firm will transform into a leaner **AI-native organization**, streamlining management to a maximum of five layers, cutting purely managerial roles, and adopting an operating model of **small teams + high-caliber talent** to improve decision-making efficiency and execution speed.

In the first quarter of 2026, Coinbase’s revenue fell year-on-year by 31% to $1.41 billion, a decline worse than market expectations, following a 20% revenue drop in the previous quarter. Affected by falling crypto asset prices and declining trading activity, the company recorded a net loss of approximately $394 million in the quarter, compared with a net profit of $66 million in the same period last year.
