EY, one of the Big Four accounting firms, has announced the launch of its **Blockchain Privacy Sandbox**, enabling developers to build and test privacy-preserving smart contracts on EVM-compatible public blockchains including Ethereum.

Built on its open-source zero-knowledge proof compiler Starlight, the tool enables privacy functionality without altering the logic of existing Solidity contracts, while lowering deployment barriers via a web-based environment. EY stated that the platform is designed to help enterprises validate privacy use cases before full integration.
