Two board members of American Bitcoin (ABTC), a Bitcoin mining firm backed by the Trump family, have significantly increased their holdings of the company’s shares through open market transactions following the release of its latest financial results. Justin Mateen, co-founder of Tinder, purchased approximately 1.3 million shares at an average price of around $1, while fellow director Richard Busch acquired roughly 330,000 shares over the past two days. The earnings report revealed that ABTC incurred a loss of $59 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, impacted by the depreciation of its Bitcoin holdings due to falling Bitcoin prices. Additionally, the company recently purchased 11,298 ASIC mining machines, aiming to boost its mining capacity by approximately 12%.
