Polish President Karol Nawrocki has once again vetoed the government-proposed *Crypto-Asset Markets Act* (which aims to implement the EU MiCA regulatory framework domestically), stating that the bill is almost identical to the previous version. It only lowers the upper limit of the supervision fee from 0.4% to 0.1%, and still suffers from problems such as being 'excessive, vague and disproportionate'.
Reports indicate that the bill originally intended to grant stronger regulatory powers to Poland’s Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), including the ability to suspend/prohibit the public offering and trading of crypto-assets, establish a register of suspicious domain names, and impose fines of up to 10 million zloty for serious violations.
