According to Bloomberg, Standard Chartered has lowered its 2026 Bitcoin price target to **$100,000** and warned that the cryptocurrency market may face further “pain.”

Geoff Kendrick, the bank’s head of digital assets research, cited intensifying global macroeconomic risks and slowing demand for Bitcoin as a corporate treasury reserve asset as key factors.

While the bank maintains its long-term target of $500,000 by 2030, it emphasized that the market’s upward momentum has become increasingly dependent on ETF buying, leading to a more cautious outlook for growth over the next two years.
