US President Donald Trump has announced the nomination of Kevin Warsh as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Warsh served as a Federal Reserve Governor from 2006 to 2011 and represented the Federal Reserve in G20 affairs. Prior to that, he held a position at the White House National Economic Council and worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Currently, Warsh is a visiting scholar at the Hoover Institution, a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and also serves at the Duquesne Family Office.

Kevin Warsh was an early investor in the crypto project Basis and acts as an advisor to Electric Capital, a crypto venture capital firm.
