On the evening of September 4th, the ADP data (known as the 'small non-farm payrolls') showed that U.S. ADP employment increased by 54,000 in August, which was lower than market expectations. In addition, according to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of initial jobless claims in the U.S. for the week ending August 30th was 237,000, higher than market expectations. The continued cooling of the U.S. labor market has further strengthened expectations for interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve (Fed). Currently, market pricing shows that the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates in September has risen to 97.4%.
