On June 12, the international business division of Ant Group announced plans to apply for stablecoin licenses in Singapore, Hong Kong (China), and Luxembourg (Europe). The move aims to strengthen its blockchain business and support cross-border payment and fund management services. Ant International told Sina Technology, 'Ant International is accelerating investments and expanding collaborations in global treasury management, putting our AI, blockchain, and stablecoin innovations into reliable large-scale applications. We welcome the passage of the Stablecoin Bill by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. We will submit applications as soon as possible after the bill comes into effect on August 1 and the relevant application channels open, hoping to contribute more to building Hong Kong into a future international financial center.'
