According to a report by China Daily, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong plans to open virtual asset derivatives trading to professional investors to enhance product diversity and strengthen risk control. Johnny Hui, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, stated that this measure is a crucial step to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness in the global digital asset market. A second policy statement on virtual assets will be released in the future to promote integration with traditional finance, and enhance the security and flexibility of the real economy. Additionally, virtual assets will be included in eligible transactions to enjoy tax incentives, aiming to attract international fintech companies to settle in Hong Kong.
