三菱UFJ銀行、三井住友銀行與瑞穗銀行規劃在2026財年內，聯合發行與法定貨幣掛鉤的穩定幣。三家銀行將組設專門協調單位，研擬營運模式與實際落地應用方案。三大銀行自2025年11月起，已配合日本金融廳展開穩定幣聯合發行的測試試點，後續將依照監管規範與市場發展步調推動商業化運作。

MUFG Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Mizuho Bank plan to jointly launch fiat-pegged stablecoins within fiscal year 2026. The three banks will set up a dedicated coordination body to study operational models and practical application plans. Since November 2025, the trio has collaborated with Japan’s Financial Services Agency on pilot tests for joint stablecoin issuance, and will advance commercial rollout in line with regulatory requirements and market trends.
