Separately, CCTV News reported that on the 25th local time, U.S. Central Command issued a social media statement saying the USS **Pinckney** guided-missile destroyer dispatched armed helicopters to intercept a merchant vessel in the Arabian Sea. The vessel subsequently complied with U.S. military instructions and returned to Iran under U.S. naval escort.

The statement added that the U.S. military will **maintain a full blockade** on all vessels entering or exiting Iranian ports. Since the blockade began, 37 vessels have been diverted.
