當地時間4月16日，伊朗總統佩澤希齊揚會見巴基斯坦陸軍參謀長穆尼爾，伊朗外交部長阿拉格齊與會。佩澤希齊揚表示，巴基斯坦在推動停火方面發揮了負責任且有效的作用。

佩澤希齊揚強調，伊朗緻力於促進地區和平與穩定，區域安全應由區域國家自行維護。

他同時強調，由於美國多次違背承諾，伊朗人民已對美國徹底失去信任。

穆尼爾則表示，透過持續外交努力，美伊雙方可望儘速達成協議並終止衝突，他呼籲各國攜手共建地區繁榮與安全。

On April 16 local time, Iranian President Pezeshkian met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Munir, with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi also in attendance.

Pezeshkian stated that Pakistan has played an effective and responsible role in pushing for a ceasefire.

He emphasized that Iran is committed to regional peace and stability, and that regional security should be safeguarded by regional countries themselves.

He also stressed that due to the United States repeatedly breaking its commitments, the Iranian people have completely lost trust in the U.S.

For his part, Munir said that with continued diplomatic efforts, the U.S. and Iran are expected to reach an agreement soon to end the conflict, and he called on all countries to work together to build prosperity and security in the region.
