Bloomberg News reported on the 15th that the United States and Iran were considering extending the ceasefire by two weeks.
Caroline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, stated on the 15th local time that the United States has not formally requested an extension of the ceasefire agreement with Iran, calling the relevant report “inaccurate”. The two sides remain in continuous contact and are advancing negotiations.
Meanwhile, sources from Iran on the 15th said that although the United States has proposed a two-week ceasefire extension, Iran has not agreed to the request so far. Iran believes the United States should fulfill its commitments under the current ceasefire agreement instead of seeking an extension, and should stop making excessive demands in the negotiations.
