據《華爾街日報》報導，聯準會主席傑羅姆·鮑威爾（Jerome Powell）在利率決策會後記者會表示，在司法部針對相關事項的調查「徹底結束，並具備透明性與終局性」之前，他無意離開聯準會理事會。

他的主席任期將於2026年5月15日到期，但其理事任期可延續至2028年。

報導指出，若接任者凱文·沃許（Kevin Warsh）未能在5月15日前完成參議院認證程序，鮑威爾將依法繼續以臨時主席身分主持職務；目前沃許的認證程序亦受到調查進度影響。

According to The Wall Street Journal, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell stated at a press conference following the interest rate meeting that he does not intend to leave the Federal Reserve Board until the Justice Department investigation into related matters “comes to a complete, transparent, and final conclusion.”

His term as Chair expires on May 15, 2026, while his term as a Board member may continue until 2028.

The report noted that if his successor Kevin Warsh is not confirmed by the Senate by May 15, Powell will legally continue to serve as interim Chair. At present, Warsh’s confirmation process is also affected by the progress of the investigation.
