According to Bloomberg, against the backdrop of the crypto market structure bill's stalled progress due to disagreements over stablecoins, the crypto industry has recently put forward a new compromise proposal to the banking sector. The proposal includes requiring stablecoin issuers to deposit part of their reserves in community banks and paving the way for community banks to issue their own stablecoins through partnerships, aiming to ease banks' concerns about potential deposit outflows. Currently, the two sides have not yet reached an agreement on the specific terms of the proposal.
