前聯合國副秘書長、經濟學家薇拉·鬆圭（Vera Songwe）在達佛斯世界經濟論壇中表示，隨著非洲跨境匯款成本居高不下，匯款對非洲的重要性已「超越援助」，穩定幣正成為更快速、更經濟的替代方案。她指出，傳統匯款每100美元的手續費約6美元，而穩定幣可將結算時間縮短至數分鐘；同時在非洲多國通膨率突破20%的背景下，穩定幣更成為對抗通膨、保全資產價值的工具。埃及、奈及利亞、衣索比亞與南非是穩定幣使用最活躍的國家，其應用主要由中小企業推動，也體現出穩定幣在金融普惠領域的作用。

Vera Songwe, former UN Under-Secretary-General and economist, stated at the World Economic Forum in Davos that as the cost of cross-border remittances in Africa remains stubbornly high, remittances have become 'more important than aid' to the continent, with stablecoins emerging as a faster and more cost-effective alternative. She pointed out that traditional remittances cost approximately 6 US dollars for every 100 US dollars sent, while stablecoins can cut settlement time down to minutes. Amid a backdrop where inflation rates exceed 20% in many African countries, stablecoins have also become a tool to hedge against inflation and preserve value. The most active countries in stablecoin adoption include Egypt, Nigeria, Ethiopia and South Africa, with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) being the main driving force—an embodiment of stablecoins' role in financial inclusion.
