當地時間1月5日，遭美國強行控製的委內瑞拉總統馬杜羅在美國紐約出庭受審時，針對美方提出的所謂「指控」表示「不認罪」。

馬杜羅向法官表示：「我是委內瑞拉總統，我是在委內瑞拉卡拉卡斯的家中被強行控製並帶走的。」馬杜羅被美國指控犯下「毒品恐怖主義陰謀罪、古柯鹼走私陰謀罪、持有機槍及破壞性裝置罪，以及針對美國的持有機槍及破壞性裝置陰謀罪」等罪名。

On January 5 local time, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who was forcibly detained by the United States, pleaded not guilty to the so-called 'allegations' made by the U.S. side during his court appearance in New York, USA.

Maduro told the judge, 'I am the President of Venezuela, and I was forcibly detained and taken away from my home in Caracas, Venezuela.' He has been charged by the United States with crimes including 'narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine smuggling conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the United States'.
