According to the Financial Times, Iran’s Defense Export Promotion Center (Mindex) stated that it has proposed allowing foreign governments to use cryptocurrency as payment for purchasing advanced weapons systems—including ballistic missiles, drones, and warships—over the past year. The center also accepts barter trade and settlement in Iranian rials. As a state-owned entity tasked with Iran’s overseas arms sales, Mindex claims to maintain customer relationships with 35 countries and lists various types of weaponry on its official website.
