Swift stated that it is advancing the adoption of blockchain-based distributed ledgers in its infrastructure, and has partnered with over 30 banks worldwide to jointly participate in the ledger design. Thierry Chilosi, Chief Commercial Officer of Swift, pointed out that industry collaboration is the key to unlocking scale effects. This initiative aims to support tokenized assets and blockchain settlements on top of the existing cross-border payment system, serving as an extension rather than a replacement for traditional financial infrastructure.
