Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has released its annual report, covering stablecoins, tokenization, payments and finance, privacy, security, AI, and agents within the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors. a16z pointed out that the global stablecoin trading volume reached $46 trillion in 2024, a figure **20 times higher than PayPal’s transaction volume** and nearly **three times that of Visa**. The report also mentioned that with the advancement of traditional asset tokenization, assets such as U.S. equities, commodities, and indices are being brought onto blockchains via cryptographic technologies. In addition, a16z shared its outlook on the convergence of AI and crypto, predicting that decentralized payment systems will see widespread adoption by 2026.
