Donald Trump stated that he may announce the nominee for the next Chair of the Federal Reserve System (Fed) by the end of the year, to replace Jerome Powell, whose term will expire in May next year.

The five candidates include current Fed Governor Christopher Waller, current Fed Governor Michelle Bowman, Director of the National Economic Council Kevin Hassett, former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh, and BlackRock executive Rick Rieder. According to previous public reports and their past statements, all five candidates hold a friendly attitude towards cryptocurrencies.
