On Wednesday local time, FHFA Director Pulte stated in a social media post: 'Following in-depth research and adhering to President Trump's vision of making the U.S. a 'cryptocurrency capital,' I have ordered Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to prepare for designating cryptocurrencies as recognized assets for mortgage applications.'
